Longevity
If you are a full-time, non-academic employee with a minimum of two years of service with the State of Texas, you are entitled to longevity pay.
Longevity pay starts the month following the service anniversary date unless the anniversary date is the first day of the month.
State service refers to all employment with the state, including temporary, part-time, student employment and legislative service. Employment at a public school district or junior college is not included in prior state service.
If you have prior state service, visit the Prior State Service webpage for more information.
NOTE: Police Officers in positions considered hazardous duty will receive hazardous duty pay in lieu of longevity pay.
