Former/Returning Students

Students who have attended UHD but were not enrolled at the institution for the last 14 months may qualify for readmission. Please use the chart below to see if you must apply for readmission as a former student.

Steps to Apply for Readmission-Undergraduate

  1. Contact the Return 2 Complete (R2C) team at r2c@uhd.edu.
  2. Apply online using the ApplyTexas application, visit ​applytexas.org. Select the Returning student (readmission) application.
  3. Submit official transcripts from all institutions attended since your last enrollment at UHD.

Steps to Apply for Readmission-Graduate

A former graduate student that has not been enrolled in a UHD graduate program for 1 or more long semesters should first contact the Assistant or Associate Director of the applicable graduate program first before reapplying.

  1. Apply online using the UHD online graduate ​application.
  2. Submit official transcripts from institutions attended since your last enrollment at UHD.
  3. Submit any new supplemental documents (I.e., Personal Statement, Resume, Recommendations, etc.) if applicable.
  4. Once the graduate program to which you are reapplying has made a decision regarding your admissions status, you will be notified of their decision.

Steps to Apply for Readmission-International

If you are a former UHD international student that has not been enrolled in a UHD program for 1 or more long semesters, please contact International Admissions first before reapplying.
 
    1. Former undergraduate students apply online using the ApplyTexas application at applytexas.org. 
    2. Former graduate students apply online using the UHD online graduate ​application.
    3. Submit $80 application fee along with any supplemental documents if applicable.

Steps to Apply for Readmission-UHD Alumni

Students who have graduated from UHD and intend to complete additional undergraduate coursework should visit the Post-Baccalaureate Students webpage for more information.
