HEALTH & FITNESS FOR LIFE
Health and Fitness for Life focuses on health-related behaviors, ways that personal health decisions and behaviors affect body systems and health, and strategies for reducing health risks and enhancing wellness throughout the life span. This course examines nutrition, diet, weight control, and fitness concepts of cardiovascular respiratory endurance, muscular endurances and flexibility with an emphasis in an area of interest such as Yoga Pilates, Aerobics, Kickboxing and Zumba.
COURSE FORMAT
This class consists of course material being presented in a hybrid format (half on-line, half in physical activity class). During the physical activity requirement, students will engage in one of the following classes offered in the Student Life Center: Yoga, Pilates, Aerobics, Kickboxing, and Zumba. these classes are offered at a variety of times throughout the day.
TARGETED FOR
Every student could benefit from this course. Students in need of one (1) academic credit and students who need to make the necessary changes in their lives to reduce their risks of illness while learning to live a healthier life.
