Job Summary
The Director, Institutional Data Analytics accesses and analyzes data in order to understand the university's various characteristics, processes, plans, projects, or other matters, in an effort to improve the university's performance.
Duties
- Accesses or collects institutional data to apply research methodology and statistical analysis to support the university, whether through formal grants, ad hoc requests, or persistent scheduled projects and programs; understands and analyzes the results, and predicts outcomes.
- Collaborates as necessary with other individuals and departments in order to collect the data required.
- Leads the university community's efforts to use data within their departments/units through various platforms (with particular focus on EAB Navigate).
- Provides training in the use of the EAB Navigate platform, manages the platform, including the setup and design.
- Participates and collaborates with other areas as necessary when designing plans for various university programs, projects, or discussions.
- Provides data related support as required to assist with designing data driven solutions and processes.
- Develops appropriate and easy-to-digest data presentations for the university community.

Qualifications
Required Education:
- Master's degree in Behavioral Science, Statistics, Data Science, Education, or a related field.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) years of related job experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of methods of data collection and analysis, and the related trends, issues, and accepted practices; knowledge of statistical and reporting software.
Skills:
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in MS Office, PeopleSoft, and EAB Navigate;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Good attention to detail.
Abilities:
- Ability to collect and analyze data; ability to meet deadlines;
- Ability to exercise good judgment; ability to extract and manipulate data and produce reports;
