UHD VPN Setup Guide

To access UHD on-campus resources (including your desktop computer) from off-campus, you’ll need to install and configure the GlobalProtect VPN client by Palo Alto Networks.

For Mobile Devices

  • Disconnect from UHD Wi-Fi or ensure you are off-campus before configuring VPN.
  • Download  Global Protect file from your device’s app store. 
  • Enter the portal address: pavpn.uhd.edu
  • Log in using your UHD credentials.

For Linux

  • Download the Linux version of GlobalProtect from the UHD VPN portal.

For Windows or macOS

  1. Go to https://pavpn.uhd.edu (accessible only off-campus).
  2. Log in with your network credentials.
  3. Select the appropriate installer for Windows or macOS.
  4. Run the installer and follow the prompts:
    • Click Next on each screen.
    • Click Close when installation completes.

Launch GlobalProtect

  • Windows: Click the globe icon in the taskbar.
  • macOS: Click the globe icon in the menu bar.
  • Enter the portal address: pavpn.uhd.edu
  • Log in with your UHD username and password (use your full email address if prompted).
  • Complete Duo Two-Factor Authentication:
    • Choose Send Me a Push or Enter a Passcode.

Disconnecting

When finished, open the VPN client and select Disconnect.
