  • Who can purchase computers?
    Only currently registered UHD students are eligible to purchase surplus equipment.
  • What forms of payment are accepted?
    Credit card only.
  • How many computers can I buy?
    Each student may purchase up to three computers.
  • Can I buy if I have a hold on my account?
    Unfortunately, no purchases are allowed if you have an active hold.
  • Can I exchange my purchase?
    Exchanges are allowed within 10 calendar days for a like item (desktop for desktop, laptop for laptop). Cross-category exchanges are not permitted.
  • Is software included?

    • Windows 10 is pre-installed.

    • You can create a recovery USB using instructions on Dell’s website.

    • Current students may download Microsoft Office via Office 365.

    • Additional tools are available via Azure Dev Tools for Teaching.

  • Can I purchase recovery media?
    Yes, recovery disks can be purchased directly from Dell.
  • Where can I find my Windows activation code?
    It is located on the Microsoft tag attached to your device.
  • Are other computer models available?
    Available models are listed in the Featured Items section. Please check back regularly for new inventory.
  • Does IT provide technical support for these devices?
    No, surplus equipment is sold as-is, with no technical support or warranty.
  • How old is the equipment?
    Most surplus devices are approximately three years old.
  • Does my computer come with a warranty?
    No.
  • How can I learn more about my computer?
    Visit Dell Support and enter your Service Tag (found on the computer) to access manuals, drivers, and other details.
  • Where does the money go?
    All proceeds support the UHD General Scholarship Fund, directly benefiting UHD students.
