Desktop Computing Project

The Information Technology department oversees the university-wide Desktop Computing Project, which ensures full-time faculty and staff have access to a desktop computer or laptop for general productivity.

🔄 Device Lifecycle & Replacement

  • Devices are replaced on a four-year rotation, based on departmental schedules.

  • Computers that no longer meet minimum standards are upgraded according to each department’s cycle.

🏛️ Department Eligibility

  • Departments eligible for HEF funding qualify for new computers through this project.

  • Departments not eligible may purchase devices using their own budgets.

  • Adjunct faculty and part-time staff may access PCs as determined by their unit leadership.

🖨️ Printing Resources

  • Networked departmental laser printers are provided.

  • Individual user printers must be funded by the respective unit.
