Meet the IT PMO Students!

Sheetal Saji

IT Student Assistant

Sheetal Saji is an undergraduate Computer Science major and an upcoming senior. As an IT Student Assistant, she contributes to technology-driven initiatives, digital communications, and collaborative project efforts. Working closely with IT project management teams, she demonstrates strong technical skills and a commitment to teamwork.

Her experience has strengthened her abilities in user-centered design, organizing technical documentation, and cross-functional collaboration. Sheetal is passionate about software engineering and is focused on building innovative solutions that improve how people interact with technology, while gaining valuable real-world experience along the way.

Elton Jacob

Elton Jacob is a first-year Master's student in Artificial Intelligence with professional experience as a Software Engineer and Machine Learning Engineer. With a strong background in web and application development, cloud technologies, database systems, blockchain, and DevOps, Elton brings a diverse technical skillset to support IT project management initiatives.

Passionate about creating meaningful impact through technology, Elton aims to build innovative AI-driven solutions that improve lives and contribute to a better future. Outside of work, he enjoys playing and watching soccer.

Jenny is an IT PMO Student Assistant, working on supporting projects while pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a focus in cybersecurity. She is passionate about technology, problem-solving, approaching every challenge with creativity and effective teamwork to every task. She values collaboration, critical thinking, and continuous growth, striving to contribute positively to any project or task she undertakes. She is always eager to learn new skills and apply them to real-world technology challenges.

Samantha Jackman

Samantha Jackman is currently an undergraduate senior majoring in Computer Science bringing experience in multiple programming languages, database systems, software engineering and application development. She partners with IT project management teams to advance technology initiatives that require both technical precision and collaborative effort. With a strong interest in artificial intelligence and IoT innovation, Samantha aspires to create connected technologies that solve real-world challenges. She approaches every opportunity with curiosity, adaptability and a dedication to professional growth in fast paced, rapidly evolving technical environments.

Kosha Patel

Kosha Patel is a first-year Masters student in Data Analytics. In addition, she has a Masters in Accounting and Finance with a strong professional background in finance and insurance. She brings a rare combination of skills that compliment her role in the IT department where she assists with project management.

Kosha is passionate about building more on her Data Analytics skills and learning how AI can be leveraged to our benefit in today’s fast-paced world.

Ethan Campbell

Ethan Campbell is a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting with a minor in philosophy. In addition to his studies, he has been very active in student life as the president of the Bike Club here on campus, and a member of many other student groups.

Ethan assists the PMO office with properly recording and documenting procurement card purchases.

Sheetal created the IT Launchpad, a user-friendly site that brings together all essential IT tools and resources in one easily accessible location. Designed with both staff and student workers in mind, the site helps users quickly find what they need and stay organized in their daily tasks.

  • Simple Navigation: Clean, intuitive layout that's easy to browse

  • Creates visual content and graphics for IT events and updates, helping to increase engagement and visibility.

IT Policies & Procedures Manual (ITPPM) Revamp

This project was to transform the existing ITPPM into an interactive online resource that enhances user engagement, improves information accessibility, and ensures comprehensive understanding of IT policies and procedures.

Project Objectives:

  1. Convert the 123-page ITPPM to an interactive online format.
  2. Reduce the average time to locate specific policies by 50% through improved navigation

Erica Galvan

Using Smartsheet, Erica developed a comprehensive project dashboard for the Human Resources (HR) department, designed to enhance project tracking, organization, and overall efficiency. This dashboard serves as a centralized platform that provides real-time insights into both past and ongoing projects, helping HR teams make data-driven decisions and optimize their workflows. This dashboard significantly enhances HR's ability to manage projects efficiently, ensuring that all initiatives are executed smoothly and aligned with organizational goals

  1. IT Project Management Office Homepage
    • Updated the staff portion of the IT Project Management Office home page.
  2. Project Life Cycle Web page
    • Created four additional Web pages for each phase of the project life cycle.
    • Added descriptions from the IT PMO team of each phase in the project life cycle.
    • Created four banners for each page in the project life cycle.
    • Created previous and next buttons at the bottom of each page in the project life cycle.
    • Created a page for the templates used in each phase of the project life cycle.
    • Added tables on the project templates page that lists each template used and the reason for its use.
    • Added tables with templates used at the bottom of each page in the project life cycle.
  3. CMS Migration
    • Compared Web pages on SharePoint and Omni CMS for consistency.
    • Transferred the meta description and keywords from the SharePoint site to Omni CMS.
  4. IT Break Room Remodel
    • Contacted Facilities Management and Challenge Office Products to assist with the redesign of the break room.
    • Requested a price quote from both Facilities Management and Challenge Office Products to incorporate into the proposal.
    • Created a proposal to have the project approved by upper management.

    • Refurbished the overall aesthetic of the book for an up-to-date look using Canva.
    • Updated information crucial to students in the Project Management Office.
  2. Emergency Handbook
    • Assembled the physical copy and distributed to their counterparts.
    • Published the mobile version that is user friendly as well as easily accessible using Adobe Acrobat and FlipHTML5.
