Class registration opens for the Fall 2024. You can start registering for classes Today. Be sure to check that you have the prerequisites to take certain classes. Remember, if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask your advisor for help.
Scholarships
- The Mallet Scholarship is open for application through the end of the November. Only students who have also applied for the Gordon and Mary Cain Undergraduate Future Teacher Academic Merit Scholarship may apply. read more on scholarships available

The mission of academic advising in the College of Public Service is to assist students in relating their needs, values, abilities, and goals to the educational programs of Urban Education and Criminal Justice, and Social Work at the University of Houston-Downtown.
There are three academic disciplines in CPS which offer undergraduate degree programs: the Criminal Justice Program, the Social Work Program, and the department of Urban Education (C-440). The Criminal Justice Program and the Social Work Program are within the same academic department, the Department of Criminal Justice and Social Work, and are located in C-340 (Criminal Justice faculty), and in C-330 (a combination of Social Work and Criminal Justice Faculty).
