Need something for a slightly older child to do that doesn’t require constant supervision and isn’t a video game? Filming footage, uploading, and then editing that footage to create a video with editing software is the answer to a couple of hours of focused attention. Create your own story, re-tell a favorite fairy tale but with a twist, use live people or have puppets do the talking. Edit and crop footage, choose different scene change options, speed up or slow down scenes, and add special effects and music/voice over; everything happens in the editing studio! The completed video is ready for presentation to the family or for upload for sharing.
