“The golden opportunity you are seeking is in yourself,” wrote the founder of Success Magazine, Orison Swett Marden, more than 100 years ago. For current senior high school seniors, that opportunity might just be the winning essay for the Tu Futuro scholarship.
UHD and Univision Houston are partnering for the sixth consecutive year to present the “Tu Futuro” scholarship program. “Tu Futuro” is open to current high school seniors residing in the Houston area and will award one local student with a full scholarship covering the cost of a four-year undergraduate degree at UHD.
Students are encouraged to register and apply before Friday, Feb. 27, 2026. The “Tu Futuro” scholarship winner will be selected in March 2026 and awarded the scholarship in April 2026. An important requirement is to include a 500-word essay on how a college scholarship will help you positively impact your community—without the aid of AI!
