MDCOB Recognized as Best of the Best in Marketing at AMA Crystal Awards
No doubt about it, Thursday, May 16, 2024, was an evening to remember. While straight line winds ravaged the city of Houston, marketers from around the state anxiously awaited the results from American Marketing Association (AMA) Houston competition at 713 Music Hall. The AMA Crystal Awards gala is Houston's largest marketing event and recognizes the best-of-the-best marketers across the state of Texas. We're delighted to announce that UHD's Marilyn Davies College of Business joins this elite group of marketers, proudly bringing home a sparkling Crystal Award for the first time in MDCOB's history!
Out of three finalists, the talented team won the category, "Video: Marketing/Sales-Non-Profit" for the college's video "Welcome to MDCOB!". The commercial was produced by the University Relations and Advancement Production Crew for MDCOB Marketing Specialist and Line Producer, Evangelina Vazquez, with Craig Loper as Show Runner, Mitchell Loper as Director of Photography, and finally, Gabriela Perez, Luz Castilla and Noah Hester as Lighting and Grip.
"Honestly, I'm at a loss for words… nothing can truly capture what happened that night. Above all, I'm incredibly proud of myself and everyone involved in both projects. As I always say, while I may have been the head coordinator for both projects, it takes a village to create success. Whether we won or remained finalists, this award is a testament to the collective effort and support of everyone involved." said Vazquez.
