Job Summary
The Manager of Videography manages, plans and directs all video for the Division of Advancement and University Relations and others as needed. This position works closely with multiple departments assisting staff and faculty across the University.
Duties
- Serves as the University videographer, producing and directing video projects in coordination with various offices and departments.
- Produces video for various applications, including executive communications, editorial content, websites, television commercials, and other marketing and communications collateral.
- Serves as a producer for University Relations video and multimedia projects, coordinating talent, location, props, and production
- Manages and trains technical staff and student assistants supporting multimedia and video.
- Plans, evaluates, and recommends equipment and resources for the production and distribution of video and multimedia.
- Manages schedule of videography projects, shoots, and requests.
- Manages digital archives of University video and collaborates with other external relations staff.

Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Radio, Television, and Film or a related field
Required Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of full-time professional videography experience
License/Certification:
- None
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience in higher education
- FAA Certified UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems/Drone) Pilot
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to the position
- Proficient in the following Adobe Creative Cloud Programs: Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Adobe Light Room, AdobePhotoshop, Adobe Audition, and Media Encoder
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficient and experienced at recording, editing, and mixing sound
- Possess a thorough understanding of the location and studio audio recording and problem

- level technical understanding and ability to implement national quality lighting setups both in
- studio and on location. Extensive knowledge of both continuous lighting and flash, as well as combining the two mediums. Complete understanding of Kelvin color temperatures and how to creatively mix them or balance to one temperature

Work Location and Physical Demands
Primary Work Location:
- Position works both indoors and outdoors; there may be hot or cold weather involved when working outdoors.

- Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment. Position is physically comfortable.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
