Job Summary

The Manager of Technical Projects is responsible for the coordination, tracking, and reporting of the technical projects in the Office of the Provost and throughout Academic and Student Affairs. The Manager assumes a broad set of responsibilities which include managing deadline calendars, task lists, and project teams affiliated with these projects. The Manager oversees the development and management of all webpages under Academic Affairs in accordance with university standards and under the direction of the Assistant Director, Academic and Student Affairs.

Duties

  • Oversees university-wide technical projects
  • Creates and manages a calendar of all deadlines, including project deadlines, meetings, agendas, and policy deadlines
  • Assists the Assistant Director, Academic and Student Affairs to manage a team of college-based web technical support specialists
  • Administers the course evaluation system and provides support for the curriculum management system
  • Keeps abreast of new technology concepts and project management software
  • Conducts training for faculty on new processes and technology adopted
  • Provides support to faculty on various technology packages and processes
  • Manages the Blackboard Ally hotline and assists with accessibility issues on all digital platforms

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of related job experience

License/Certification:

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of project management and the associated trends, issues, and accepted practices;
  • Knowledge of project management tools;
  • Knowledge of website development and best practices for web design and accessibility

Project Management
