Job Summary

The Assistant Director assists with all aspects of the e-library operation, including managing grants, budget reviewing and allocation, managing support staff, overseeing project implementation, data collection, as well as identifying and implementing instructional plans.

Duties

  • Supports program operations, monitors grant progress, and directs grant resources as necessary.
  • Manages and supports the program technologies team, monitors project objectives, and works with students, faculty and staff on E-Library projects.
  • Supervises, assigns work, hires, schedules, trains, develops, evaluates, and directs personnel.
  • Conducts service assessment and user surveys, provides reports to director, plans and implements continuous improvement processes.
  • Works with the leaders/managers of each of the activity team to plan, follow up, and monitor the development of each activity.
  • Conducts visits to the field and networks with partner schools.
  • Supervises the design of interactive games and videos that align with the e-books and support the development of reading and writing skills.
  • Monitors the e-Library YouTube channel to ensure that the channel is on target with the goal of the project.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related social science field

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of related job experience

License/Certification:

  • N/A

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in writing, editing, and proofreading grants to regional, state, and federal governmental agencies and the private sector.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English)
  • Knowledge of the educational system in the US.
