About CPS Assessment
Timeline for Submission of Academic Programs Assessment Reports:
- October 31st: Assessment reports are due from the faculty to the chair or immediate supervisor.
- November 15th: Assessment reports are due from the chair/immediate supervisor to the dean.
- December 15th: Assessment reports are due from the dean to the Office of Academic Assessment.
- January 15th: All materials should be archived electronically, and an overview of assessment results are due from the Office of Academic Assessment to the Provost's Office.
The Assistant Director of Assessment at the College of Public Service works in collaboration with the Office of Institutional Assessment and Accreditation and Office of Data Analytics & Institutional Research. The goal is to advance the institutional commitment to evidence-based decision-making for assessment planning, reporting, analysis, data interpretation, and using the information to enhance student learning in academic programs and services in the college. Faculty and staff are guided and supported through coordinated assessment activities to improve the institutional effectiveness as mandated by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
