Job Summary
The Executive Director of Student Information Systems provides oversight and direction in developing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing software applications for the Enrollment Management (EM) division, including but not limited to PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Slate.
Responsible for documenting, testing, and helping/supporting all software applications used in EM and monitoring systems reviews to verify compliance with policies and institution standards.
Duties
- Analyzes complex software application processes and data structures; identifies and provides support for reported software problems
- Manages functional staff in the support, development, and implementation of systems applications and modifications with the Enrollment Management division, including but not limited to PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Slate
- Responsible for assisting with system-wide initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of university business processes in accordance with university policies, serving as lead and liaison for UHD to UHS
- Works with other UHS institutions leads to investigate and develop best business practices
- Manages the definition, analysis, and documentation of business processes, practices, and requirements for software application systems.
- Directs and oversees security administration and manages production support for PeopleSoft-Campus Solutions modules and Slate
- Develops and manages software applications, reviews the calendar for the Enrollment Management division
- Delegates assignments and provides leadership to functional team for the development and implementation of software applications modules and modifications requested by department leads
- Responsible for the development and enforcement of standards, policies, and procedures dealing with software application compliance for the Enrollment Management division
- Provides software applications compliance guidance to department leads and senior management to identify possible software initiatives
- Evaluates and manages third-party software solutions to ensure optimal integration to enhance staff, faculty, and student experience
- Oversees preliminary/cursory testing for implementations, upgrades, and requirements for software application systems
- Oversees and supports the Campus Solution Services (CSS) team, reviewing performance and productivity; addresses challenges identified by the CSS team via email, phone, or meetings with other departments
- Oversees and supports the Director of Enrollment Management and Assistant Director of Admissions Management Systems, reviewing performance and productivity; addresses challenges identified with the Slate system

Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field
